The Government set up a field hospital in Bahía Blanca, but it is underutilized.
It was installed in Bahía Blanca Plaza Shopping and is operational, but local authorities don't use it.
A few days ago, the Minister of Homeland Security, Patricia Bullrich, confirmed that the national Government was working on setting up "a field hospital" in Bahía Blanca, following the tragic flood that hit the city.
The head of the department spoke of "an absolutely critical scenario" and noted that the emergency continues, despite the noticeable improvement observed due to the receding water in several parts of the city.
Today, sources from Javier Milei's Government confirmed that the mobile hospital was installed on Saturday at the Bahía Blanca Plaza Shopping and is fully operational, but is being underutilized by the local Kirchnerist authorities.

However, they confessed that due to the lack of internet connection, many people are unaware of the facility's existence. "Due to connectivity issues, many Bahía residents can't read this tweet. I ask you to share and forward it so more people find out and USE it!", stated Facundo Quiroga, from the Ministry of Defense, in a post on X.
"This MT1 field hospital from the National Directorate of Health Emergencies (DINESA) is designed for emergencies and has 40 beds: 6 for shock and 34 for hospitalization", he detailed.
He added: "It is equipped with 5 ventilators, infusion pumps, multiparameter monitors, cardio defibrillators, emergency medication, suction pumps, rigid boards with lateral immobilizers, 2 psychographs, and an X-ray machine".

Additionally, the field hospital has a central water and air conditioning system in all tents, along with two high-complexity UTIM ambulances, which allow for patient transport and secondary referrals.
"The hospital is autonomous for 21 days, thanks to its own generator and a water system that maintains sinks, basins, and other sanitary facilities. IT IS AVAILABLE TO ALL BAHÍA RESIDENTS", concluded Quiroga in his message.
Government Assistance
Meanwhile, Milei's Government continues to provide both material and financial assistance to help those affected and reinforce security, rescue, and logistical support tasks.
Air Force planes transport mattresses, tables, and blankets for evacuees, rain boots, essential hygiene items in these situations (such as bleach and powdered soap), and work tools.
In parallel, the Ministry of Economy sent 10 billion pesos in financial assistance to the affected locality.
