The government replied to the alleged leaks of audio recordings of Karina Milei.
The presidential spokesperson assured that this is an orchestrated and planned disinformation operation
Presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni commented after the leak of alleged audio recordings of the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, amid Kirchnerismo's attempt to stir up controversy over alleged bribes in the Disability Agency, revealed through the audio recordings of Diego Spagnuolo, former head of the agency.
"Regarding the alleged audio recordings of Karina Milei: if they're genuine, we're facing an unprecedented scandal. It would be the first time in Argentine history that an official is recorded inside Casa Rosada," the spokesperson wrote on his X account.
He added: "The release of these audio recordings, 10 days before the Buenos Aires province election, confirms that everything that's been happening is an orchestrated and planned disinformation operation, with the clear objective of destabilizing the government and maliciously influencing the electoral process."
The mentioned audio recordings were published this afternoon through the streaming channel Carnaval. In one of the segments released by Kirchnerista journalist Mauro Federico, the same one who released Diego Spagnuolo's audio recordings, the following can be heard: "We can't get into a fight among ourselves. We have to stay united, just imagine."
In the second recording, Karina Milei can be heard saying: "So, here not even... because in reality, here they don't have to be here 24 hours. Because I arrive at 8 in the morning and I leave at 11 at night from Casa Rosada."
Javier Milei on the audio recordings
Yesterday, during an event of the Inter-American Council for Trade and Production (CICyP), President Javier Milei dismissed all the claims and blamed Kirchnerismo for the release of the audio recordings.
"When we launched our campaign, they invented outrageous stories about selling candidacies, that we were going to allow the sale of organs, that we would let children buy weapons online. How many other atrocities did they claim, like incest, like zoophilia? They never stopped saying all kinds of absurdities," the president stated.
He added: "This week's operation is just another item in the long list of tricks by the caste and, like all the previous ones, a new lie. As in all other cases, it will be up to the courts to clarify it, and we're once again at their disposal. We hope everything is clarified as soon as possible."
