Inbound tourism resumed its recovery in March, with sustained growth in the arrival of foreign visitors and a marked drop in foreign travel by Argentines. According to official data, the inflow of non-resident tourists increased 6.3% year-on-year, while the outflow of residents plummeted 19.9% compared to the same month last
year.
The movement confirms a change in trend in tourist flow, with a direct impact on foreign exchange inflows and economic activity. In a context of macroeconomic normalization, the sector is beginning to show stronger signs, promoting key areas such as transportation, hospitality, gastronomy and

One of the most relevant data was the growth of air tourism, which registered an increase of 15.5% year-on-year, consolidating itself as the main channel of entry into the country. There was also a slight increase in inland incomes, with an increase of 1.8%, while inland revenues fell by 3.9% year-on-year, reflecting a more heterogeneous dynamic depending on the type of
access.
The trend also remained positive in seasonally adjusted terms. On this level, the number of tourists who entered by air grew 5.9% per month, while residents who traveled abroad by the same means fell 4.5%. By origin, the most notable growth was in tourists from the United States and Canada, with an increase of 14.1% year-on-year. At the same time, European visitors also showed strong dynamism, with an increase of 11.7%, consolidating themselves as key markets in the
recovery of inbound tourism.
