The map of GTA 6 will include five counties, about 10 cities, and multiple areas to explore outside of Vice City
When viewing the entire map, the main routes and highways will appear. As players zoom in, smaller streets and alleys will be incorporated.
Areas that have not yet been visited will remain hidden by a fog of war system.
Exploration will allow players to gradually discover the different regions of Leonida. Additionally, getting around Vice City will not depend solely on private vehicles.
Buses.
The map of GTA 6 will have Vice City as the central hub of a much larger version of Leonida.
According to details released by Rockstar, the world will feature different regions, explorable interiors, public transport, and underwater areas.
The map of GTA 6 will be, according to previous reports, approximately twice the size of GTA 5.
It will also have nearly three times the playable area of Red Dead Redemption 2. Vice City, on the other hand, will be approximately twice the size of Los Santos.
The developed areas around the city will be about 11 times larger than the urbanized areas located outside of Los Santos.
Leonida will be divided into five counties and will include approximately 10 cities and towns. Additionally, it will be an island without a peninsula, but will have a more varied geography than that seen in GTA 5.
The map of GTA 6 will feature several islands and extensive underwater areas. Diving equipment will allow players to investigate shipwrecks and search for hidden treasures.
The game will also have hundreds of interiors. Rockstar aims for as many buildings as possible to be accessible to players.
Buildings with helipads will be especially significant, as they will allow exploration of their upper floors via stairs or elevators.
These explorations will not require loading screens. Additionally, Mount Kalaga, located in the northern part of the map, will be the highest point of Leonida.
Among the available data would be possible entrances and exits, as well as the value of the loot. The visible information will change according to the zoom level.
Trains.
Taxis.
RydeMe ride service.
Metromover.
Players will be able to skip these routes or use them to interact with non-playable characters, have conversations, and listen to the radio.
The GTA 6 map will also be related to the police search system. Places where crimes have been committed may temporarily become surveillance zones.
The police could establish a perimeter around the scene and increase surveillance in the surrounding areas. These areas would appear in red on the map, accompanied by a lighter red region.
With the maximum search level of six stars, that surveillance zone could extend across the entire map.
Players will be able to buy garages at various points in Leonida, although safe houses would not be available for purchase.
The home of Jason and Lucia will also change throughout the story, while both remain fugitives. In this way, Vice City will play a dynamic role in their lives during the course of the game.
