The terrorist group Hamas once again demonstrated its disregard for human life. In a statement issued this Monday, it described the October 7, 2023, attack against Israel as a "glorious day of success" for the Palestinian people.
In that attack, more than 1,200 Israeli civilians were brutally murdered and another 251 were kidnapped in an offensive that shocked the entire world.

Terrorism turned into pride
Far from expressing remorse, Hamas celebrated the massacre as a "feat" and paid tribute to its main leaders: Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, Saleh al-Arouri and Mohammed Deif, all directly responsible for the massacre and for years of attacks against civilians.

While the terrorists celebrate death, Israel silently remembers its victims. In different cities, commemorative events, candle lightings, and moments of silence were held in memory of those who were killed in one of the most brutal attacks in modern history.
Tension in the negotiations
The claim took place amid indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh, where the peace plan promoted by U.S. President Donald Trump is being discussed.
According to various sources, Hamas may have agreed to hand over part of its weaponry to an Egyptian-Palestinian committee, a measure that reflects the group's military exhaustion. However, the Islamist movement refuses to relinquish political control of the Gaza Strip to an international transitional committee, as proposed by the Washington plan.
