The future of Paulo Dybala continues to generate buzz and, for now, seems distant from the Argentine football and Boca. When the hope for his possible arrival at Xeneize was growing, reports from Italy claim that the forward is close to agreeing to extend his stay in Rome.
The capital club would have presented him with an offer to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the European season, with a substantial change in the financial conditions. The Córdoba native would go from earning around 8 million euros annually to a salary close to 2.5 million plus bonuses, a considerable reduction that would mark his decision to prioritize staying in the elite. The request from coach Gian Piero Gasperini was key in pushing the negotiation forward, as he considers the striker an important piece within the squad.
In this context, Dybala himself had left the question of his future open: "I don't know anything, I would also like to know, but today the contract says there are two matches left. The only thing I can say is that the derby could be my last match in front of these fans. My idea I keep to myself, we will see at the end of the championship".
