Hernán Drago broke down live on Telefe due to a painful memory

The model couldn't hold back tears when speaking sadly about the loss of his pet

Hernán Drago experienced a moment of deep emotion live on Cortá por Lozano (Telefe), when he broke down remembering his deceased dog. The unexpected reaction moved both his colleagues and the viewers.

While the program addressed the topic of the last farewell to Pope Francis, Drago shared that he was going through a tough personal moment after the death of one of his dogs, who had been his companion for 15 years.

A farewell filled with pain and memories

"I'm sensitive because today my little dog, my life companion, passed away," confessed Hernán Drago, visibly affected. Seeing a photo of his pet projected on the screen, he couldn't hold back the tears.

After composing himself, he expressed:  "It's very hard and sad. As the Pope said, we must understand that God's timing is perfect." Drago also reflected on the pain of saying goodbye to such a beloved being:  "It's unfair; one consoles oneself thinking that he was made happy, but saying goodbye is very difficult."

The model recounted that his daughter grew up with his dog and highlighted how hard it is to console children in such a situation:  "One can accompany them to a certain point, but they must also learn that life includes these losses."

How his other pets reacted

Hernán Drago also shared how his pet's departure affected his other dogs.  "This morning one was sniffing the bed, as if asking where he was," he narrated.

Despite the sadness, he found some comfort in the unconditional affection of his other animals:  "The other little dog comes to give me love, as always."

Moved,  Drago closed his testimony by remembering how difficult it is to accept that no one is eternal and valuing the lessons that animals leave in their owners' lives.
