Amid the United States military operation against drug trafficking ordered by President Donald Trump in the Caribbean region, the Bolivarian Navy, commanded by dictator Nicolás Maduro, boasted about the manufacture of a new "weapon of mass destruction": an aquatic drone. Which looks more like a toy than anything else.
This aquatic drone, which the authorities of the Venezuelan dictatorship claim will supposedly be used in the country's defense, will face off against the military equipment that will be used during the United States deployment in Caribbean waters. This includes three missile-launching ships, three Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, spy planes, and a nuclear attack submarine.
"There is no precedent in Venezuela for a device of this magnitude (...) I present to you the RAMMAX," an officer of the Bolivarian Navy can be heard saying in audiovisual material uploaded to social media.
