Holiday Inn Córdoba celebrates 25 years with a major international award
The renowned hotel was recognized by IHG and is experiencing a period of records and renewal
On its 25th anniversary, Holiday Inn Córdoba received the Torchbearer Award, an InterContinental Hotels Group distinction granted to only a few hotels. This recognition comes at a record moment in occupancy, event organization, and consolidation in the meetings tourism sector. The news adds to a comprehensive renovation plan that marks a new chapter in the history of the Córdoba establishment.
In 2024, the hotel reached an annual occupancy rate of 75%, organized more than 1,150 events, and served over 54,000 breakfasts to thousands of visitors. Nearly 39,000 nights sold were also recorded, consolidating its role as a benchmark in national hospitality. "The key to success lies in our human team and in our ownership group's unwavering commitment to the hospitality industry," emphasized Erik Debarre, general manager.
The establishment is part of IHG's network of nearly 3,400 hotels, both owned and franchised, which reinforces the significance of the award received. Only eight hotels across the entire continent met the standards required by the chain during 2024, placing Córdoba in a privileged position. For management, this is an achievement that reflects commitment and perseverance in an increasingly competitive market.

A period marked by renovation and growth
The hotel is moving forward with a comprehensive renovation involving a multimillion-dollar investment that includes rooms, common areas, and energy efficiency systems. The plan includes a complete modernization of the facilities under global guidelines but adapted to the local identity and Córdoba clientele. According to reports, one third of the work has already been completed and total completion is scheduled for the end of 2027.
Meetings tourism remains one of the main drivers for Holiday Inn Córdoba, which offers spaces for more than one thousand attendees. Throughout 2024, it welcomed over 109,500 participants at congresses and conventions, as well as recreational activities for 6,500 children. With these figures, the hotel strengthens its role as a key player in the city's corporate and social events calendar.
Looking ahead, management plans to continue the modernization process and pursue further expansion in the Argentine market. "Each achievement is an incentive to strive for more; we don't rest on our laurels: we want to keep growing without losing sight of quality and personalized service," concluded Debarre. The expectation is to maintain operational excellence and ensure the hotel's relevance in the coming years.
