Destination of the collected funds
AFA reported that in the coming days it will send a delegation to Bahía Blanca, also including relatives of Bahian footballers Lautaro Martínez and Germán Pezzella, to meet with the authorities of the Dr. José Penna Interzonal Hospital. In this meeting, the investment priorities of the collected money will be defined according to the most urgent needs of the hospital and the community.

Lautaro Martínez and Germán Pezzella expressed their support for Bahía Blanca
After the friendly was announced, Lautaro Martínez shared his feelings about the difficult situation his hometown is going through: "My family lives there and I grew up there, it's difficult. A year and two months ago we went through a storm where the city was not left in good condition. Recovering in such a short time from that and going through something harder again is difficult, especially from a distance. We thank all the people who took their time, who donated things to help the people who lost everything".

Meanwhile, Germán Pezzella also thanked the support received from different parts of the country: "We thank all the people of the country for what was experienced those days. It was exciting because when you hear family, friends, and the people of the city suffer, it's hard. Thanks to Leo and Chiqui for their willingness for this event. Besides the economic aspect, people need emotional support because they don't know where to start. From our place, do everything within our reach".
