At that moment, a Mercedes Benz 1634 truck was moving forward, transporting alfalfa bales to its usual destination in the agricultural region. The collision was considerable due to the size of the locomotive and the sixty cars it was pulling.
As a result of the crash, the train engineer, a 32-year-old man, sustained facial abrasions and received immediate care from medical personnel. The truck driver, 34 years old, managed to get out on his own without injuries after the vehicle's abrupt stop. Emergency teams assisted both to rule out complications and secure the perimeter as the investigation began.
