Kicillof's insecurity: violent robbery of a family in La Matanza

Crime wave in Kicillof province; in 15 seconds, these thieves left a family without belongings

The residents of La Matanza can't take it anymore. In the province of Kicillof, plunged into neglect, cases of  urban violence are multiplying at an alarming rate. The latest incident occurred this Thursday night in La Tablada, La Matanza district, when a family was attacked by four armed criminals in just 15 seconds.

The incident was recorded by security cameras

Andrés, father of two children, recounted to the media with harshness: "It was a matter of seconds, having a gun pointed at your face... They told me 'give me everything because I'm going to kill you, don't act smart because I'll kill you'."
While he was returning home after a skating class of his 11-year-old daughter, he was approached by the criminals as he got out of the vehicle with his children. They not only took the car but also cell phones, wallets, and even the skates of the youngest.

The criminal method is increasingly violent and systematic. The thieves acted with premeditation: first, they pretended not to notice the family, walked feigning normalcy, and upon seeing them get out of the car, they pounced on them with weapons in hand.
"My son told me: 'Look, they're all hooded.' But I thought nothing would happen. I never imagined they were waiting for us," confessed Andrés, still in shock.

The assault didn't end there. Another of the criminals intercepted the older son and stole his cell phone. Despite no physical blows, the threats and shoves left a mark on the family: "It was seconds, but with a lot of verbal and physical violence. I only thought about them not doing anything to my children."

To date, the four criminals remain at large and the vehicle has not been recovered, a sadly common pattern in the Buenos Aires neighborhoods under Kirchnerism.

Anti-Kicillof mobilization in La Matanza, following the recent crimes | La Derecha Diario

This Friday, April 4 at 6:00 p.m., the Commission for the Support of Victims' Families (C.A.Fa.Vi.) promoted the anti-Kicillof people's call under the slogan  "Mobilization for insecurity", starting from the corner of Linch and Arturo Illia streets, heading toward the municipality.

This violent robbery adds to a string of recent crimes that have put La Matanza in a state of turmoil. Just a week ago, Benito Cabrera, a 65-year-old retiree, was coldly murdered by two motorcycle thieves in Gregorio de Laferrere while trying to protect his granddaughters of three months and almost four years.

The impact of the bullet that took his life still hasn't found justice: the perpetrators are also at large. Two days earlier, in Lomas del Mirador, another motorcyclist was chased with gunfire by motorcycle thieves until he managed to find refuge in an area with police presence.
