Israel eliminated terrorists posing as humanitarian workers in Gaza

The nonprofit organization confirmed that the alleged 'members' who were removed had no connection to it

Five Islamic terrorists were eliminated after being discovered posing as members of the humanitarian organization World Central Kitchen in central Gaza, the Israeli army reported on Tuesday.

A video recorded in Deir al-Balah, one of the few cities that has remained relatively intact during the 21 months of conflict in the region, shows a group of men wearing fluorescent vests traveling in a vehicle bearing the WCK emblem.

"The terrorists deliberately placed the[WCK]emblem and wore yellow vests in an attempt to disguise their activities and avoid being targeted, cynically exploiting the status and trust granted to aid organizations," the official statement said.

The Israeli army reported that its unit responsible for overseeing humanitarian aid distribution contacted World Central Kitchen (WCK) after detecting a group near Deir al-Balah. The nonprofit organization confirmed that the observed vehicle had no connection to it.

Although the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) only confirmed the deaths of five men, the video showed at least ten people gathered around the vehicle, putting on vests before departing. The IDF did not clarify whether the deceased terrorists specifically belonged to Hamas or other militias or terrorist groups based in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, WCK strongly condemned those posing as its employees, warning that these actions endanger the safety of genuine humanitarian workers operating in Gaza.

Founded in 2010 by Spanish-American chef José Andrés, WCK provides food assistance in various parts of the world and is currently focused on preventing an imminent hunger crisis in Gaza.

The actions of Palestinian terrorists during the conflict in Gaza have repeatedly endangered humanitarian personnel, as posing as NGO members can lead to the deaths of innocent people.
