Israel eliminates Hezbollah terrorists and destroys an arsenal in a military operation in southern Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of fighters from the terrorist group Hezbollah during a military operation in southern Lebanon.

As reported by the Israeli army, the action included air strikes and coordinated ground operations against positions identified as part of the military infrastructure of the pro-Iranian group.

The operation was carried out by units of Division 91 of the Israeli Army, which operate in the area as part of the advanced defense strategy against threats from the north.

Discovery of an arsenal containing rockets and explosives

During the incursion, the Israeli Air Force attacked a structure used by members of Hezbollah where operational activity

had been detected.

Following the bombing, Israeli ground forces entered the building and located a significant arsenal of weapons.

Among the items found were:

• dozens of rockets

• explosive ordnance

• weapons used for attacks against Israel

In addition, the IDF reported the neutralization of two armed Hezbollah fighters who

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled that the Lebanese cabinet adopted a decision on March 2, 2026 prohibiting Hezbollah's military activities and declaring them illegal.

The Lebanese authorities pointed out that no armed group operating outside state control can drag the country into a new war.

The Israel Defense Forces assured that they will continue to act against Hezbollah as long as the threat persists

on the northern border.
