Córdoba: it started snowing and the Altas Cumbres road was closed

The cold and rain caused the first snowflakes in the mountainous areas of the province

The previous forecasts were accurate and this Tuesday it started snowing in the Córdoba mountains.

Cold and rain caused the first snowflakes in the Altas Cumbres area that connects with the Traslasierra Valley.

The area that received the most snow was where the Camino del Peregrino begins, at one of its highest points.

The Giulio Cesare rest stop offered spectacular images with a large white blanket.

After the arrival of a cold front in Córdoba, which brought temperatures up to 10°C (50°F) below the previous days' highs, the National Meteorological Service reported that the cold will continue for a few more days.

Córdoba: Altas Cumbres road closed due to snow

The Highway Police reported that, due to the conditions, the Altas Cumbres road remains completely closed.

Meanwhile, the extended forecast for Córdoba indicates that the cold will continue for the rest of the week.
