The government ends the year with an unbelievable level of support, and the President keeps an unusually high approval floor for the current political moment. According to the latest Opina Argentina poll, conducted between December 1 and 3 among 1,772 people from across the country, Javier Milei records a 49% positive image. This is one point higher than the previous month.
The measurement shows continuity with the electoral behavior of 2023. Milei retains greater support among men—57% positive image—while among women, negative evaluations predominate. Despite this gap, the president has maintained relatively stable levels of support since taking office, always fluctuating within a range from the initial 55% to the current 49%.
Compared to his predecessors in office, Milei reaches December in a much stronger position. Alberto Fernández had closed 2021 with just a 28% positive image, largely due to the prolonged lockdown; Mauricio Macri, by the end of 2017, had 40%. In this context, Milei is consolidating himself as the best-rated president at midterm in the last decade.

Bullrich, with a very high approval rating, reaches the President's numbers
The poll also places Patricia Bullrich at the same levels as Milei: 49% positive image and 50% negative. Her work at the Ministry of Security is remarkable, and there are ongoing expectations for her parliamentary work starting December 10.
The Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, also shows an upward trend: he reaches a 43% positive image. This marks an improvement over the previous month and is just below the communist governor Axel Kicillof.
The decline of the opposition: Kicillof, the opposition figure with the best image
On the opposition side, Axel Kicillof once again stands out as the best-rated leader of Peronism: 44% positive image and 55% negative. This shows how far the opposition is from consolidating an acceptable figure. Cristina Fernández de Kirchner follows (37% positive and 62% negative) and Sergio Massa (35% and 63%, respectively).
