1000 days since the assumption of President Javier Milei, a national survey by Explanans placed the president in first place in voting intention ahead of the 2027 elections, with strong support.
The survey, conducted between September 2 and 9, 2026, included 7,015 selected cases from a total of 11,725 effective responses. The measurement was conducted online in 25 urban conglomerates, covering 91 cities across 21 provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
According to the report, President Milei receives 38.5% of the votes, just 1.5 points away from a potential victory in the first round and with a lead of 14.5 over the second.
Behind the president is the ultra-Kirchnerist governor Axel Kicillof, with 24% of voting intention. Further back are the communist leader Myriam Bregman, with 10.4%; the failed former Minister of Economy Sergio Massa, with 6.1%; and former president Mauricio Macri, with 3.7%.
Additionally, 8.3% of respondents indicated they would choose another candidate, while 3% would opt for a blank vote and 6% did not define their position.
The strong support from the interior and his voters
One of the highlighted data points from the survey is the level of support retention among those who voted for Milei in the 2023 presidential runoff. According to Explanans, 71% of that electorate continues to support the President.
