The president Javier Milei met this noon with his counterpart from the Republic of Chile, José Antonio Kast, at the Palacio de La Moneda during his visit to Santiago

The meeting took place within the framework of the Argentine leader's participation in the V Regional Meeting of the Madrid Forum, where he later emphasized the need to deepen coordination among countries and right-wing leaders who defend the ideas of freedom

The meeting with Kast became one of the main events on Milei's agenda in Chile. The head of state participated in the opening of the Madrid Forum, organized by the Disenso Foundation under the motto “A new era for Ibero-America,” in front of leaders, officials, and representatives of parties and organizations from various countries in the region

In addition to his meeting with Kast, Milei held a meeting with the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy, Sarah Rogers. The meeting also included the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and the Foreign Minister, Pablo Quirno

The speech of Javier Milei

During his presentation, Milei called to “unite forces” and deepen the bonds of friendship among countries that defend the ideas of freedom, warning that “we are facing a global adversary.” In this context, he emphasized the need for the right to advance in greater political organization and regional coordination

“If they had their Socialist International, the right must also organize,” stated the Argentine President. His proposal was accompanied by a defense of the significant results that Argentina has achieved since the beginning of his administration

Milei asserted that the process initiated in the country has begun to extend to other parts of the continent. “Today we are witnessing a change that started in Argentina and has gradually spread across the continent,” he maintained. As examples of these “winds of change,” he mentioned countries like Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador

In this line, he highlighted that “today the entire continent is orienting itself towards the values that made the West great, even after decades of socialist indoctrination.” He also presented the Argentine situation as a demonstration of the results that the direction defended by his Government can produce

“Thanks to this change in mentality, in Argentina we are seeing results that have helped expand the ideas of freedom like never before,” he assured. He then made a comparison with the situation of the country before his arrival in power: “if three years ago the country was a warning of the abyss that socialism leads to, today it is becoming the proof.”

The leader also warned about the organizational capacity of the regional left. “The left at the regional level has been organized for decades and, at its worst moment, they are still looking for ways to return,” he stated, questioning the strategies that, in his view, they use to “destabilize, generate panic, and instill terror in the population.”

Milei also defended his Government's economic program and assured that “our economic program is so well designed that it has withstood all its attacks.”

For this reason, he reiterated the need to prioritize the points of agreement among those who defend the ideas of freedom and called to “set aside our differences and focus on what unites us.”
