Javier Milei participated in the campaign spot in CABA: 'Adorni is my voice in the City'
The presidential spokesperson officially launched his campaign as a candidate for legislator for the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires
The presidential spokesperson, Manuel Adorni, officially launched his campaign as a candidate for legislator for the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, and he did so by sharing on social media a spot in which he appears accompanied by President Javier Milei.
"Adorni is my voice in the city," states the head of state in the video published by the spokesperson himself on the platform X, just weeks before the elections scheduled for May 18.
Adorni will face a competition marked by the fragmentation and national imprint of the candidates, among whom are Leandro Santoro (Union for the Homeland), Silvia Lospennato (PRO), and Horacio Rodríguez Larreta (Volvemos), among others.
"We have to bring our model to the city so it advances at the pace of the Nation," stated President Javier Milei in a video released this Saturday morning, following the announcement of the end of the currency clamp and new economic measures related to the agreement with the IMF for new financing. "That's why I chose Manuel Adorni, who best defends this model," added the president.

In the spot, exclusively featuring Milei and Adorni, both are responsible for delivering the campaign message. The spokesperson begins by addressing an imaginary Buenos Aires voter: "You know Milei's model works. In a year and a half, we did what everyone said was impossible. We ended inflation, ended the protests, cut through the state with a chainsaw, and put an end to the caste's scams."
Then Milei speaks, stating: "We did it with determination and going all the way, because there's an enemy that needs Argentina to fail to keep winning."
Adorni continues by pointing out that the City of Buenos Aires is experiencing a moment of stagnation: "The city is also in danger. We have a great city. But it has stagnated. After twenty years, those who govern the city are losing their way. They increased taxes, increased the number of officials, increased spending, but the city doesn't advance, and when things don't advance, they start going backward," he says, directly alluding to the PRO's management.

With a retrospective view, Adorni concludes: "We've already learned from the past. If we don't go all the way, change doesn't happen, that's why we're going all the way with Milei's model." The final phrase of the video is said by the president: "Adorni is my voice in the city."
In recent days, Adorni also referred to the Buenos Aires electoral scene and launched criticisms toward Mauricio and Jorge Macri. "We have worked with the PRO at the national level on many things together, and very well, but in the City of Buenos Aires, we're going separately because we don't share the same agenda," he explained during an interview with Luis Majul on LN+.
Additionally, he detailed that there were liberal initiatives that didn't prosper: "In many of our projects of a liberal nature, we couldn't get them treated. There were issues that were crucial for us, such as the Ley Bases, and we didn't agree," the spokesperson concluded.
