Javier Milei supported Mariana Fabbiani in the war with Viviana Canosa and the Clarín group.
The president shared the statement from the DDM host and questioned Grupo Clarín and the authorities of El Trece
The media confrontation between Mariana Fabbiani and Viviana Canosa added an unexpected protagonist: President Javier Milei. Through his official account on the X network (formerly Twitter), the president supported the host of DDM (América TV) amid her clash with Canosa and openly questioned El Trece and Grupo Clarín.
"Is this the responsibility of Grupo Clarín's agenda or is it Suar-Codevila's fault?" Milei wrote in a message where he shared part of Fabbiani's statement, which had been broadcast hours earlier on her program. The president's phrase made direct reference to Adrián Suar, programming director of El Trece, and Pablo Codevila, content manager of the channel.
The presidential support came after Fabbiani accused Viviana Canosa of having threatened her on air, after feeling alluded to by DDM's content in relation to a complaint the journalist is pursuing against Lizy Tagliani.

"Viviana Canosa, say what you have to say. Both my team and I are very calm. I was threatened on El Trece's screen and privately", the host stated as she opened her program on Thursday, April 17.
"We all know how Viviana Canosa is, the entire media knows her. The only thing you've done in your dreadful and horrible career is ruin everyone's life with boundless malice", she added harshly.
Canosa, meanwhile, was quick to respond from her show Viviana con Vos (El Trece). True to her combative style, the journalist targeted both Fabbiani and the president himself. "Fabbiani is calling for my head and at the same time, President Javier Milei, who has already cost me three jobs, is getting involved with Grupo Clarín. Is this how you're going to reduce poverty, president? Work, pick up the shovel", she launched.
She also hinted at suspicions of political pressure behind the controversy: "Could it be that Fabbiani's husband has power and they called like they called the Minister of Security and the president, leaving messages for me to stop getting involved with the Lizy case and human trafficking?", she questioned on air. And she added: "I'm realizing that the trafficking issue started as something very small and ends up being something very big. It's convenient for them to call me crazy, deranged..."
