According to reports, President Javier Milei is expected to make a major announcement on Saturday at La Rural
The Government of Javier Milei plans to use the opening ceremony of the Palermo Rural Exhibition, which will be held this Saturday, as a stage to send a strong signal to the agricultural sector.
After a symbolic entrance through the main arena, President Javier Milei is expected to announce a reduction in export duties, according to the media outlet La Nación. According to reports, this time it would be a definitive and permanent reduction, not a temporary one.
"There will be announcements," a source close to the organization told La Nación, who avoided giving details but confirmed that it is a measure related to export rights, one of the main demands of the Liaison Table. "These are permanent and not temporary measures to improve the situation of the agricultural sector," the source added.

Both this source and officials from the Ministry of Economy denied the possibility of implementing a tax bond, thus refuting rumors that have circulated in recent days. The Treasury avoided providing additional details.
Another highlight will be the president's entrance to the exhibition. Milei will not enter the main arena alone: he will do so aboard a car that will enter from Sarmiento Avenue, accompanied by his sister and Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and by the Minister of Economy, Luis "Toto" Caputo. Both will have a prominent role in the event.
During the morning, personnel from the Military House and the protocol area of the Presidency toured the Palermo fairgrounds as part of the usual preparations carried out before the presence of the head of state.

To find a similar precedent to the spectacle planned for this Saturday, one must go back to the presidency of Carlos Menem, who entered the exhibition accompanied by his then Secretary of Agriculture, Felipe Solá. Later, on July 29, 2000, Fernando De la Rúa also toured the main arena together with Antonio Berhongaray, who held the same position. Eduardo Duhalde, on the other hand, never participated in the event from the official box during his presidency.
The confirmation that Caputo will join Javier and Karina Milei in the presidential vehicle takes on special significance in the current context, filled with anticipation for the announcements expected at the opening of the exhibition.
"There will be an announcement regarding export duties," sources close to the agricultural sector told La Nación. However, they avoided providing further details and limited themselves to a brief: "That's all."
Meanwhile, in recent hours, various rumors have circulated. One of them indicated that the Government was considering issuing a bond similar to the Bopreal, which would allow up to 50% of the export duties applied to grain production to be refunded and used for tax payments. However, the Government categorically dismissed this version as "nonsense," and the Ministry of Economy also completely denied it.
