JD Vance showered Trump with praise for his work in the war between Iran and Israel.

The Vice President of the United States praised the efforts of the U.S. President to prevent an escalation of conflict in the Middle East

The Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, praised PresidentDonald Trumpthis week for avoiding a prolonged military escalation in the Middle East, following the recent announcement of the end of the war between Iran and Israel.

In an interview, Vance highlighted Trump's "America First" strategy and his results-oriented perspective as key elements in preventing what could have been a large-scale conflict.

Vance, who served as a Marine in Iraq in 2005, offered an interesting perspective on the strategic thinking behind the ceasefire agreement, which was mediated with the support of Qatar.

He noted that President Trump avoided repeating the mistakes of previous administrations, particularly the phenomenon known as "mission creep," that is, the progressive and uncontrolled shift in military objectives that led to long and costly conflicts such as those in Iraq and Afghanistan.

According to Vance, one of the main reasons for the failures in previous United States interventions in the region was that tendency to expand the initial objectives without a clear exit strategy. In contrast, he asserted that Trump stayed focused and managed to stop the violence without committing to a direct or indefinite military intervention.

The conflict between Israel and Iran intensified at the beginning of the month with air and drone strikes by both sides. However, on Monday, the Trump administration announced a ceasefire that, after some subsequent tensions, managed to completely stop the attacks by Tuesday afternoon.

Vance attributed this achievement to Trump's strategic clarity and his willingness to prevent the United States from getting trapped in another prolonged conflict in the region.

The Vice President also praised Trump's foreign policy, describing it as a doctrine that will transform the country and the world for the better. At a Republican dinner in Ohio, he defined the "Trump Doctrine" as a clear and direct approach: first, establish a national interest; second, try to solve it diplomatically; and third, if that fails, use overwhelming military force and withdraw quickly before getting trapped in a prolonged conflict.

Trump, meanwhile, expressed his discontent with both countries shortly after the announcement of the agreement. From the White House gardens, before departing for the NATO summit, Trump stated: "Iran violated the ceasefire, but Israel did too. So I'm not happy with either of them."
