The recent passing of actor and playwright Antonio Gasalla left a deep sorrow in the artistic world. Recognized for his unparalleled talent, the capocomic left an indelible mark both in theater and television.

Among the more than thirty iconic characters he created, one of the most remembered was Bárbara Don't Worry, whose popularity transcended generations. His impact on the show turned his name into a synonym for humor and creativity, establishing him as one of the most beloved figures in entertainment.

Jennifer López and her appearance on Antonio Gasalla's show

In the late 90s, Jennifer López was beginning to build her career in music after having excelled in film and dance. With just a few years in the industry, she had already amassed a fortune of 3 million dollars thanks to her talent on the big screen.

That same year, she debuted as a singer with If You Had My Love, a single that reached the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Her album On the 6 was also an international success, establishing her as a rising star. In that context, the artist was invited to participate in an iconic sketch of the show Gasalla en Libertad, broadcast by Canal 9.

The interview with "Bárbara Don't Worry"

The character played by Antonio Gasalla, "Bárbara Don't Worry," was a parody of a somewhat absent-minded television host. During the interview, Jennifer López answered questions about her career and her love life.

With a Spanish not entirely fluent, the singer revealed she was single and mentioned her brief marriage to Ojani Noa, with whom she was married between 1997 and 1998. To close the meeting, both toasted with champagne, creating a fun moment that the star enjoyed.

This encounter was recorded as one of the most memorable interviews of that era, in which a young Jennifer López was taking her first steps into global stardom.
