The brutal murder of Jeremías Monzón, a 15-year-old teenager, filmed and made viral by his own killers, once again shocked the country and reopened a debate that politics and the justice system have been postponing for years. Not only because of the level of extreme violence of the crime, but also because of a fact that is impossible to ignore: three minors took part and two of them remain free today because they are not criminally liable.

The incident took place on December 18, 2025. The judicial investigation confirmed that two 14-year-old boys and a 16-year-old teenage girl took part. The young girl remains in custody in a juvenile detention center in Rosario, Santa Fe, charged with triple aggravated homicide due to premeditated collusion, treachery, and cruelty.
