Jorge Taiana, currently the top candidate for national deputy for Buenos Aires Province on the Fuerza Patria list, is a former left-wing terrorist who maintained ties with guerrilla organizations and participated in attacks during Isabel Perón's government.
The current Kirchnerist candidate was an active Peronist militant in the 1970s. During those years, he was part of the Descamisados group, a left-wing terrorist organization, which later joined the Juventud Peronista.

The controversy surrounding Taiana is his participation in the attack by Montoneros, another left-wing terrorist group, which took place on July 4, 1975, at the "El Ibérico" bar in Buenos Aires.
A bomb placed in a bathroom by members of the group exploded, killing two people and injuring several others, all this in the midst of democracy. The apparent target was a naval officer who frequented the place, but who did not attend that day.
