Juana Viale revealed the realization she experienced at 43 years old.
The actress confessed that she wanted to be a marine biologist and questioned meat consumption in a historically livestock-raising country
At 43 years old, Juana Viale reappeared with a series of statements that did not go unnoticed. In an interview with journalist Sergio Suppo for Cadena 3, the actress once again found herself at the center of debate by stating that eating animals seems "very cruel" to her, and she revealed that, before dedicating herself to acting, her dream was to become a marine biologist. In a country where barbecue is part of the cultural identity and livestock production sustains a large part of the economy, the statement came across as a provocation.
"I understand that we come from a livestock country, but it's my choice", Juana stated, who also described herself as a person "very connected with the wild world, with the sea, the forests, the animals". For many, these kinds of statements seem more like a high-class whim than a real commitment to environmental causes. This is not the first time Viale has made statements with a messianic tone, as if from her catamaran she could lecture on how to live in harmony with nature.
During the interview, the actress —who years ago was at the center of major media scandals and kept her personal life exposed without hesitation— insisted that today she prefers to stay away from the noise and live in harmony.

"The passion for being in tune with nature is what connects me", she assured, referring to the trip she took with her current partner, activist Yago Lange. According to her, during that journey she had a "revelation" when she observed how the winds, the stars and the water temperature change the behavior of species. A story that could easily fit into a luxury documentary for a streaming platform.
She also confessed that in her childhood she dreamed of being a marine biologist, but acting crossed her path. "It was an experience that captivated me deeply", she said, as if access to a vocation were a matter of inspiration and not of economic possibilities, education and effort. Although she said that being a scientist "requires a lot of study", she chose television and public exposure.
It is worth remembering that her greatest prominence in the media began with the coronavirus pandemic when she was placed by her grandmother, Mirtha Legrand, to host her iconic show.
