June 2025 bonus: when is it paid and how is it calculated
Find out the deadline to receive the June 2025 bonus payment and how to calculate the amount you are entitled to
In June, employees in a dependent employment relationship receive the first payment of the Annual Supplementary Salary (SAC), known as the aguinaldo.
This additional income is equivalent to 50% of the highest monthly salary from the first half of the year and has a legally established payment deadline.

When is the aguinaldo paid in June 2025?
The aguinaldo is paid twice a year: once in June and once in December. Each payment is called a half aguinaldo.
According to Law 27.073, the June payment must be made no later than June 30. However, there is a legal grace period of four business days.
Therefore, in 2025 the employer can deposit it until Friday, July 4 without violating the regulation.

How is the aguinaldo calculated in 2025?
To calculate the 2025 aguinaldo, the highest gross salary received between January and June is used.
Legal deductions (retirement, health insurance, etc.) are applied to that amount. The result is the net aguinaldo to be received.

Practical calculation example:
- Highest salary: $500,000 gross.
- Estimated deductions: 17%.
- Net result: $500,000 x 0.5 = $250,000 - 17% = approximately $207,500.
What items are taken into account?
Items such as overtime, commissions, and other remunerative additions are included.
Non-remunerative income, such as per diems, clothing bonuses, or school assistance, are excluded.

What happens if you worked less than six months?
In that case, the aguinaldo is paid proportionally to the time worked during the semester.
There are two valid methods to estimate the corresponding amount:
Method 1:
- Divide the highest gross monthly salary by 12.
- Multiply that value by the number of months worked.

Method 2:
- Multiply half of the highest salary by the months worked.
- Divide that number by 6.
Both formulas allow you to calculate the proportional aguinaldo if the full semester was not worked.
Who receives aguinaldo in Argentina?
The Annual Supplementary Salary is received by all registered employees, whether in the public or private sector.

It also applies in cases of maternity leave, workplace accidents, or justified absences. Those who are paid off the books or are registered as self-employed do not receive the aguinaldo.
What should you do if you are not paid the aguinaldo?
If the employer doesn't pay the aguinaldo on time, the employee can file a legal claim with the Ministry of Labor or initiate legal action.
Late payment may result in interest and penalties for the company.
