The court acquitted Sebastián Villa in the case of "sexual abuse with carnal access" initiated against him in 2021 as a result of the complaint filed by his ex-partner, Rocío Tamara Doldán. The ruling was issued by the Oral Criminal Court No. 4 of Lomas de Zamora, which decided to clear the 29-year-old Colombian footballer (141 pounds), currently a player for Independiente Rivadavia of Mendoza.
The judicial decision came after both the prosecutor in the case and the complainant withdrew from continuing with the accusation, which led the court to determine the acquittal. According to the ruling, the complainant "reinterpreted" the events she had reported, and due to the lack of corroborating or peripheral elements that would support the accusation, the court chose to close the case.

During the hearing, Doldán explained the reasons for her change of position: "I believe that Sebastián, also that at times he engaged in sexual practices with a certain intensity but in a space of pleasure. I understand that he always assumed that consent was implicit".
