Justice once again ruled in favor of Mercado Libre in the conflict with Camioneros.
Another setback for the Moyano family; the judicial victory for Galperín and a hard blow for the mafia-like Truckers' union
In a new victory for Mercado Libre's logistics model, the National Labor Appeals Chamber reaffirmed the validity of the collective agreement (Meli Log S.R.L.) signed between the company and the Union of Load and Unload Workers (UTCYDRA), thus rejecting the challenge presented by the historically privilegedTruck Drivers Union, led by Hugo and Pablo Moyano.
The court dismissed the truck drivers' union's attempt to nullify the agreement's approval, considering that there were no irregularities in the administrative procedure and that no labor representation rights were violated.
The resolution reinforces UTCYDRA's position as the union with jurisdiction over the workers of Mercado Libre's logistics platform, putting a stop to the Truck Drivers' offensive to control the company's employees.

The legal dispute is part of a long battle that the Moyano union has waged against Mercado Libre in its attempt to absorb the workers of the logistics sector under its collective agreement.
However, the judiciary once again dismissed their arguments, reminding that the union framework had already been legally endorsed and that there was no basis to nullify the agreement with UTCYDRA.
The ruling also highlighted that the National Federation of Truck Drivers and the Truck Drivers Union had no legitimacy to challenge the agreement, as they do not represent the employees involved in the agreement signed with Mercado Libre.
Additionally, it emphasized that the approval process met all legal requirements and that the Truck Drivers' challenges lacked legal basis.

This ruling adds to the September 2024 resolution, in which Judge María Alejandra D’Agnillo had already dismissed the Truck Drivers' accusations of a "fraudulent pact" and made it clear that the work in Mercado Libre's distribution centers doesn't fall within the activity covered by the Moyano's agreement.
At that time, the judiciary also emphasized that the challenge could only be made by the workers directly affected and not by an external union that has no representation in the agreement.
For Mercado Libre, this new judicial victory consolidates its strategy of collective bargaining with UTCYDRA, ensuring job stability and the growth of the company without the constant union conflicts promoted by the Moyano.
With more than 1,200 employees in its logistics center in La Matanza and the imminent opening of a new complex in 2025, Marcos Galperin's company secures its expansion without the pressures of a union that has repeatedly lost in the courts.
