The Justice decided to suspend the execution of the precautionary measure linked to the University Funding Act, a coup initiative promoted by the opposition with the sole objective of destroying the Government of Javier Milei and bankrupting the State, using as a shield universities.
According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Human Capital, the decision was made in the framework of the case “NATIONAL INTERUNIVERSITY COUNCIL AND OTHERS/EN PEN D'TO 759/25 S/amparo LAW 16,986”, after the Executive filed an Extraordinary Federal Appeal against the ruling of March 31, 2026 issued by Chamber III of the National Administrative Court of Appeals.
“The national Government filed an Extraordinary Federal Appeal against the ruling of 31/3/26 of Chamber III of the National Administrative Court of Appeals, seeking suspensive effect. Today, the House granted this appeal,” the Ministry said

decided by the court, the granting of the appeal implies that the precautionary measure is suspended until there is a substantive definition by the Supreme Court of Justice of the
Nation.
“What was decided by the court implies the suspension of the execution of the precautionary measure, until the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation is finally issued,” the statement said.
In his X account, the Undersecretary of University Policy, Alejandro Álvarez, explained: “The so-called 'university funding law', promoted with the intention of destroying fiscal balance, is SUSPENDED.”

The court decision is part of a broader discussion about the viability of the law and its impact on public accounts. The rule, as proposed, lacks clear funding and would destroy fiscal balance, one of the central pillars of current economic policy

In this regard, the Ministry recalled that “by Decree No. 759/25, Law No. 27,775 was enacted and its execution was suspended until Congress determined the sources of its funding, since its full implementation compromised the balance of public accounts.”
Finally, the Government of Milei ratified its position regarding the education system and the use of public resources. “The national Government reaffirms its commitment to guarantee the right to teach and learn, within a framework of sustainable public accounts and the efficient allocation of State resources,” concluded the Ministry of Human Capital
