The National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) has completed the counting of 100% of the ballots, confirming an unprecedented milestone: Keiko Sofía Fujimori Higuchi is the new elected president of the Republic of Peru for the term 2026-2031. In a feat of absolute persistence after four attempts, the heir of Fujimorism managed to halt the advance of the radical left articulated in the region, consolidating a victory that alters the political balance of Latin America.
The official final results of the presidential runoff yield compelling figures that demonstrate the popular will to return to order: Keiko Fujimori achieved 50.135% of the valid votes, which represents a total of 9′223,396 votes.

In contrast, the candidate of Together for Peru, Roberto Sánchez, who carried throughout the campaign the stigma of being the heir to the disastrous management of Castillo, fell behind with 49.865% (9′173,755 votes). The final difference, which seals the country's fate, was just 49,641 votes, making this process one of the closest and most vibrant in Peruvian electoral history.
This victory would not have been consolidated without the decisive role of the vote abroad, where compatriots who understand the value of freedom gave a lesson in civics. While within the national territory the "leftist" Sánchez obtained a minimal advantage of 50.088% against 49.912% of Fuerza Popular —supported in strongholds of the south like Puno with 86.406%—, the Peruvian community across the five continents tilted the balance overwhelmingly. Abroad, Fujimori swept with an impressive 63.208% (195,388 votes), compared to the scant 36.792% of her rival, demonstrating that "the vote outside of Peru ultimately tilted the victory of Keiko Fujimori".
Regionally, the victory of the right was cemented in key areas such as Lima, where Fuerza Popular obtained 63.510%, and Tumbes, with a solid 69.377%. Other departments that rejected the statist model were Ica (51.938%), La Libertad (57.565%), Lambayeque (58.846%), Loreto (53.003%), Piura (57.020%) and Ucayali (52.560%).
