Kily González will no longer be Unión's coach after today's match with Defensa.
Regardless of the outcome, Kily is leaving Tatengue due to the strained relationship with the management and the squad, and because of the negative results in recent times
The combination of poor results, inconsistent performance both in the local league and the Copa Sudamericana, and some internal conflicts led to Cristian Kily González's departure, who will no longer be Unión's head coach after Monday's match against Defensa y Justicia.

"Club Atlético Unión announces that by mutual agreement Cristian González will no longer be the coach. This afternoon he will lead his last match against Defensa y Justicia," announced the Santa Fe club in a statement published on its official X account.
In the same message, the club added: "Thank you very much Kily and coaching staff for the passion and professionalism you brought to our institution and for the moments lived that left a mark on all the Tatengues. Since your arrival, the club has been enriched by your national and international career."
"The club is already focused on finding a new coach for the competitions awaiting us in 2025," concluded the Tatengue's message.

With the departure already confirmed, the management is working on finding a successor. Among the first names being mentioned are:
- Leonardo Carol Madelón (hasn't coached since mid-last year when he was at Gimnasia de LP)
- Martín Palermo (recently dismissed from Olimpia)
- Facundo Sava (left Atlético Tucumán at the beginning of February)
- Pablo Repetto (last coached Atlético Nacional of Colombia in the first half of 2024)
- Diego Cocca (dismissed from Real Valladolid in mid-February)
