Councilwoman Eva Mieri, who was detained for the attack on Espert's house, has been released.
Eva Mieri is the right-hand woman of Quilmes' mayor, the ultra-Kirchnerist Mayra Mendoza
The Federal Chamber of San Martín decided to grant release on bail to Eva Mieri, the Kirchnerist councilwoman from the municipality of Quilmes and right-hand woman of Mayra Mendoza, who had been detained since Wednesday, July 2.
Mieri had been charged by Judge Sandra Arroyo Salgado, accused of having participated, along with other Kirchnerist activists and officials, in the attack on the home of La Libertad Avanza deputy, José Luis Espert.

The court's ruling states: “To overturn the appealed order as it was the subject of the appeal and, consequently, TO GRANT RELEASE ON BAIL to EVA CARINA ALEJANDRA MIERI under the bail that the lower court judge deems appropriate, under the terms set forth in the considerations.”
The arrest of councilwoman Eva Mieri had been carried out after a series of raids ordered by Judge Sandra Arroyo Salgado, within the framework of the investigation into the attack on Espert.

During those operations, three other people were also arrested: two women and a man linked to the Kirchnerist group La Cámpora, who allegedly participated in the organization and execution of the attack.
Before taking office as a councilwoman for the Frente de Todos, Mieri served as Undersecretary of Environment for the municipality of Quilmes. Currently, she keeps a close relationship of trust with the ultra-Kirchnerist mayor Mayra Mendoza, being her right-hand woman.
