The Kirchnerist journalist Nancy Pazos was seen at the stadium where the 2026 World Cup final will be held, contested in the United States between Argentina and Spain, which generated a wave of criticism on social media.

The strong anger from the public is due to the notable contradiction between Pazos' public statements about the supposed economic situation of the country and her attendance at one of the most expensive sporting events ever.

Pazos traveled again to the United States to witness the decisive match taking place at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where ticket prices, both official and resale, reached very high figures.

According to reports, the prices range between $8,000 and $50,000, while in the secondary market, seats in the lower tier are offered from approximately $14,000.

During the pre-match broadcast on ESPN, the commentator Mariano Closs made a direct reference to her presence in the stadium: “We greet Mrs. Nancy Pazos, who is waving to us from the stands,” confirming her presence at the venue.

The double standards of Nancy Pazos

The criticism towards the journalist stems from her previous media statements before the tournament, in which she questioned the economic situation of the country.

In that context, Pazos had claimed that she “couldn't make ends meet” and maintained that the supposed "crisis" under the management of President Javier Milei was serious. Furthermore, she had repeatedly pointed out that the economic situation was unsustainable and that the salary was insufficient.

Following these statements, people questioned her presence at the World Cup, highlighting the significant inconsistency between her rhetoric and her ability to afford high expenses for travel and tickets.

This case comes after another similar controversy, where Nancy Pazos went viral after being caught by television cameras in the stands of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta during the historic match between Argentina and England in the World Cup semifinals.

Her appearance also generated a strong uproar on social media and led to political clashes and debates about her presence at the event.
