The Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni, highlighted the entry into force of the trade agreement between Mercosur and the European Union and defended economic opening as the central axis of the model promoted by President Javier Milei.
“Commercial opening always brings more investment, more growth and more employment, and it is the only possible path to prosperity for Argentines,” he said during a conference at Casa Rosada.

The understanding between Mercosur and the European Union marks the creation of one of the largest free trade zones in the world, with direct impact on key sectors such as agriculture and the
automotive industry.Adorni stressed that the agreement will improve the access of Argentine products to an enormous scale market and attract investment, considering that Europe is already the main source of foreign investment in the country.

.“We used to live in a country that suffocated producers with ridiculous obstacles and regulations,” he said, marking the contrast with the current policy of openness and deregulation.
