Tamara Báez's lawyer revealed the amount of money L-Gante gives her for their daughter.

Amid a new legal dispute between Tamara Báez and L-Gante, the young woman's attorney, Juan Pablo Merlo, publicly revealed the amount that the cumbia 420 singer provides monthly to his daughter Jamaica, who is three years old.

According to his statement, the amount reaches 700,000 pesos, a figure that, although it exceeds the values established by the "Canasta de Crianza" from INDEC, would not be sufficient considering the artist's standard of living and income.

This information was disclosed after Merlo filed a precautionary measure before the courts to prevent L-Gante from leaving the country for work until the child support payments are regularized, within the framework of a case that has already been ongoing for several months.

The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) publishes the so-called "Canasta de Crianza" monthly, which estimates the cost of raising a child according to their age group. For children between 1 and 3 years old, like Jamaica, the amount updated to May stands at 487,908 pesos, broken down between goods and services ($162,436) and the value of care and time provided by the adult ($325,473).

Although the amount provided by the musician exceeds these reference values, Merlo was blunt:  "That doesn't mean it's enough. The Canasta de Crianza should be considered a floor, not a ceiling. If L-Gante is doing well, his daughter should be doing well too," he stated on a television program.

Starting in September, when Jamaica turns four years old,  the estimated cost by the State drops to $410,302, due to changes in the structure of needs according to age. Nevertheless, the attorney insisted that the calculation of child support should not be limited solely to statistical parameters, but should also take into account the parent's income level.

L-Gante, whose real name is Elián Valenzuela, has been facing several legal challenges since his separation from Tamara Báez, with whom he had Jamaica in September 2021. Although the relationship between them has deteriorated, the influencer insists on prioritizing her daughter's well-being.

Meanwhile, the courts must assess whether the request to restrict leaving the country is appropriate or if a new financial agreement can be reached between the parties.
