On the contrary, the opposition forces barely managed to retain a few capitals

La Libertad Avanza, the party of President Javier Milei, achieved a historic result in the 2025 legislative elections, prevailing in 18 out of 23 provincial capitals in the country and consolidating itself as the leading political force at the national level.
The elections, held on October 26, marked a new stage in the Argentine political landscape, confirming the majority support for the policies promoted by the Argentine president.
Among the capitals where LLA triumphed are Ushuaia, Río Gallegos, Rawson, Neuquén, Mendoza, San Luis, Córdoba, Paraná, La Plata, San Juan, La Rioja, Salta, San Salvador de Jujuy, San Miguel de Tucumán, Resistencia, Corrientes, Posadas, and Santa Fe.
The trend was clear throughout the territory, where the electorate in the country's main cities supported the continuation of the libertarian project based on the defense of the ideas of liberty, reduction of public spending, deregulation, and lower taxes.

Meanwhile, opposition forces, especially Kirchnerism, barely managed to retain a few capitals. The "Fuerza Patria" front and its allies prevailed only in Santa Rosa, Catamarca, Formosa, and Santiago del Estero, while the provincial group "Innovación Federal" secured victory in Viedma.
This scenario highlighted the loss of support for Kirchnerism and traditional Peronism, especially in urban centers where they previously had their main support base.
At the national level, La Libertad Avanza was the most voted force in the legislative election, significantly expanding its presence in Congress. The libertarian ruling party managed to renew all its seats and obtain a large number of new deputies, coming close to a majority in the Lower House. In the Senate, libertarians also advanced, achieving representation in provinces where until recently their structure was incipient.

With a turnout close to 68% of the electoral roll, the results consolidated Milei's and his government's position, which interprets the vote as support for the ongoing structural reforms. The victory in 18 capitals demonstrates the deep cultural change in Argentine society and reaffirms confidence in a country model based on the ideas of liberty.
This way, La Libertad Avanza not only dominated the legislative scene but also confirmed its territorial leadership, marking a turning point in recent political history. The 2025 elections made it clear that the libertarian project has broad popular support and that the country continues to move toward a new paradigm of development and liberty.
