Silvia Lospennato's connection with Kirchnerism and the international left
Far from being a 'moderate' and 'republican' option, the PRO's representative is marked by left-wing extremism
The current candidate and main representative of PRO, Silvia Lospennato, seeks to present herself to society as a supposed "moderate" and "republican" figure, but the truth is that she hides a past marked by left-wing extremism.
Behind that facade of "moderation," there is a web of ties with hard-line Kirchnerism, the far left, and the progressive ideological agenda promoted by international foundations like Open Society, by George Soros, and entities that received funding from former U.S. President Joe Biden.
Ties with Kirchnerism and the left
One of the facts that major Argentine media outlets seek to hide, but are essential to understand her political positioning, is Lospennato's membership in the group known as "Las Sororas," composed of Kirchnerism leaders, the left, and the most extreme progressivism.
There she shared space and activism with figures like Mayra Mendoza, Lucila De Ponti from the Evita Movement, Romina del Plá from the Left Front, and even Malena Galmarini, wife of Kirchnerist Sergio Massa. This group also included UCR legislators like Karina Banfi and Alejandra Martínez, revealing a transversality that is nothing more than the political expression of a globalist cultural agenda.

During the debate on the abortion law in 2020, Lospennato did not hesitate to ally with figures like Máximo Kirchner and Martín Lousteau, allowing the political credit for the legislative sanction to fall into the hands of the then-officialdom. Instead of defending the values and profile of the electorate that voted for her, she handed over the political capital of the cause to Kirchnerism, at a time when the image of former President Alberto Fernández was beginning to decline.
The media support for this move was not coincidental. Between 2018 and 2020, far-left media like Revista Anfibia and Cosecha Roja, belonging to the civil association Cronos, spread favorable propaganda for Lospennato and the group "Las Sororas." These platforms received funding from USAID and NED, organizations dependent on the U.S. government during Joe Biden's presidency, and from the controversial foundation of George Soros, Open Society Foundations. Recently, Elon Musk denounced and froze the funds allocated through these channels to leftist propaganda in Latin America.

The push for gender ideology
But Lospennato's activity was not limited to abortion. She gave dozens of talks promoting gender ideology with the endorsement of state agencies like the Public Defender's Office, and collaborated with ultra-Kirchnerist legislator Ofelia Fernández in the organization ELA (Latin American Team for Justice and Gender). This entity is supported by the European Union, the UN, and—again—by USAID.
In one of those talks, Lospennato even celebrated on social media that a 4-year-old child identified as "transvestite," which sparked strong criticism for promoting radical leftist ideas at an early age. She also supported the inclusion of content like "menstruating people" and "male complicity" in Argentine schools, through the #ESIGUALDAD program, promoted by Amnesty International, an entity also linked to Soros and with consultative status at the UN.
Far from representing a moderate or republican option, Lospennato demonstrates alignment with an international ideological agenda that promotes delusional policies in the name of equality, policies that go against the priorities, values, and concerns of the Argentine electorate, especially those of "PRO."
