The Argentine National Team completed another training session ahead of the crucial match against Switzerland, corresponding to the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup. The match, which will take place in Kansas City, represents a key step for Lionel Scaloni's team, which will seek a place among the top four in the tournament.
In the press conference prior to the match, Lisandro Martínez, Cristian Romero, and Facundo Medina spoke, although it was the Manchester United defender who made the most notable statements.
Regarding the criticisms from the Egyptian national team's environment after the round of 16, where it was even suggested that the match had been "fixed," Martínez assured that the squad remains completely focused on their work and avoids paying attention to external comments.
The defender explained that the group experiences the tournament "like in a bubble" and that the priority is to engage in constant self-criticism to correct mistakes and enhance collective performance.
