Livestock boom: the calf rose by 23% at the latest Jesús María auction

This is undoubtedly a great year for livestock farming. With no restrictions or obstacles to export, the sector is experiencing a moment of splendor with very good prices.

This Tuesday, at the auction held by Consignaciones Córdoba, at the Rural de Jesús María, calves showed an upward trend that climbed 23% compared to last week's auction.

The lightest calves increased by $1,300 and reached a maximum of $6,900.

Meanwhile, the intermediate and heaviest categories experienced increases of $1,000 each, selling at $6,200 and $5,500 respectively.

Livestock farming: extraordinary values for cattle

These are the most extraordinary increases in recent months.

Among the consumption categories, all exceeded $4,000 per live kilo.

With an increase of $30, the lightest steers fetched a maximum of $4,080, which represented a 0.7% increase.

The intermediate and heaviest categories, meanwhile, recorded increases of $60 and $140 and were sold at $4,060 and $4,040 respectively.

In total, 1,820 head entered (650 fattened cattle and 1,170 feeder cattle).

The next auction will be on December 1.
