Ventura reported death threats linked to his journalistic work and pointed to a criminal organization
In a conversation with A la tarde (América TV), Luis Ventura recounted the violent episode he experienced in recent days.
"This time it was inhuman and savage. Saying they're going to decapitate you isn't something you hear every day, especially when it involves your family", he expressed.

The background of the threats
Ventura detailed that he believes everything is related to his editorial line. "I'm dealing with the Piccirillo issue, the Maradona trial, the Canosa thing...", he enumerated.
"If I let myself be guided by the threats I've received in my career, I wouldn't go on air anymore", he remarked bluntly.

"They told me to back off, to stop mouthing off"
In addition to the intimidating messages, Ventura assured that he also suffered physical assaults in the past.
He recalled that when he replaced a colleague and touched on the topic of Viviana Canosa, he made a harsh editorial. "I didn't want to do it, but it was the topic of the day", he acknowledged.
"They involved me with Lizy, pedophilia... They told me they're going to come after me. These are outrageous threats, with a hint of madness", he added.

He was offered protection, but he refused
Mario Baudry, lawyer and partner of Verónica Ojeda, offered him an armored vehicle and personal security. Ventura rejected both options.
"I thank him, but for now, no. I don't want witnesses in what I do", said the host of Secretos Verdaderos.

Suspicious movements in front of his house
After receiving the threats, Ventura noticed strange things. "When I went out, there was a guy with a camera focusing on the facade", he revealed. "My brother also told me there was a van with tinted windows driving around", he added with concern.
The complaint was filed with the authorities and there is already an open judicial case for threats. According to reports from Puro Show (El Trece), the intimidations come from a criminal organization.
