Sergio "Maravilla" Martínez once again offered strong support to President Javier Milei in an interview for the Agostini podcast. In a segment just over a minute long, which quickly went viral, the former boxer used a spot-on comparison to refer to the opposition.
"Those who say that in Argentina behave the same way as an abusive husband," said the former world champion, speaking about those who question the president's methods. According to his explanation, "They tighten the screws on you from every side. They punish you, they hit you, they hurt you, they stone you, they condemn you. Now, when you react, they say no, we're all about love. We speak from love and you're being violent."
In an increasingly emphatic tone, Martínez accused the opposition of playing the victim while condemning the president, and criticized its role throughout Argentine history: "In Argentina we've had 80 years of Peronism and look at how things are. Come on, stop kidding yourself, open your eyes."
Later, the episode escalated when a user on X questioned him for his remarks. True to his direct style, Maravilla replied with: "LTA putita," accompanied by several laughing emojis.

This isn't the first time the former athlete has expressed his support for Milei. Months ago, in an interview with El Chiringuito, he had praised Milei: "A genius, he came to break with everything we had before, to reshuffle the deck and deal again. I trust him and I want things to go well for him."
