El Muñeco didn't hide his fanaticism for the Chicago Bulls idol and greatest figure in NBA history
The atmosphere at River is joyful after the resounding victory against Boca in the last Superclásico of Argentine soccer, played on Sunday. However, the Millonario has already left the celebration behind and is focusing on the upcoming challenges, including the round of 16 of the Torneo Apertura, the conclusion of the group stage of the Copa Libertadores de América, and the preparation for the Club World Cup in the middle of the year.
In this context, Marcelo Gallardo spoke with the official FIFA channel ahead of the renewed international tournament that will take place mid-year in the United States. In the interview, the Argentine coach surprised by sharing his admiration for Michael Jordan and the glorious era experienced by the Chicago Bulls in the NBA during the 1990s.

"I lived with great fervor the golden era of Chicago with His Majesty at the helm," confessed the Muñeco, recalling those years of sports hegemony led by Jordan. "I was a big fan of Michael Jordan and all his splendor," he added enthusiastically.
The coach of the Núñez club also highlighted the qualities that made him a legend. "He dazzled me on every level, his leadership, his winning behavior, his mentality to take charge in critical situations. An extraordinary figure," he concluded, making clear how much the world basketball idol inspired him.

The Muñeco's feelings for the Club World Cup
Previously, Gallardo had already shared some words on the FIFA channel where he anticipated the debut in the most ambitious club competition of recent times.
"We will start observing a special energy as the beginning approaches, for what it means. I estimate that the first match will be a feeling of belonging to an elite place, understanding that the match with the Mexican team for the spot will arouse enormous interest," commented the Millonario coach.
He also analyzed the duel that River will have against Lautaro Martínez's Inter. "They are representative teams of Europe. Inter is a very representative team, Champions winner and a reference of one of the latest. It is a team of great caliber, with players who have made history. It will be a match of utmost importance for us," highlighted the coach.
