Mario Pergolini came out to strongly support Davoo Xeneize: 'Things have changed'
The journalist decided to speak live on his show about the criticism directed at the 22-year-old YouTuber
The program of Mario Pergolini, Otro día perdido (eltrece), usually features a variety of guests. However, it also includes some segments where the host shares his opinion on various topics.
This time, the former CQC host strongly supported David Quint, known on social media as Davo Xeneize.
The 22-year-old had been the target of criticism from several journalists, who claimed that he was not worthy of giving his opinion on the current situation of Boca Juniors.
Mario Pergolini salió a defender muy fuerte a Davoo Xeneize
"Davoo Xeneize is a young man, a YouTuber who talks about Boca. However, on some sports programs, journalists who started from the bottom just like this kid, get angry with him and say all sorts of outrageous things to him," Mario Pergolini began, providing context.
"I wanted to send him a hug and tell him not to care. Because all these older people who are on sports channels believe that the only way to do journalism is on TV channels, and that's not the case, things have changed," the host defended him.
"It's not about diminishing his value. They call him a YouTuber as if to diminish his value, but the truth is that YouTubers work a lot. They do it with care, with enthusiasm, and they do it well. So Davo, I'm sending you a big hug," Pergolini said affectionately.

Meanwhile, the famous host acknowledged that nowadays, the way people get information about the world of soccer is through social media, not television.
"I don't watch sports channels anymore. Everyone is shouting. In contrast, these kids... well, there's everything anyone could want", he concluded.
Many people found his attitude very commendable and decided to support Mario Pergolini for standing up for the young man.
"Great gesture, Mario," "He didn't have to, and he stood up for him. Pergolini is becoming a good person, he just needs to pay what he owes," and "Great gesture, Marioto, what a source of pride for Davito's parents to hear that a legend supports him," were some of the messages users left for him on social media.
