This Sunday, the news broke about the arrest of YouTubers Beni Mármol and Pato Perrotta in Miami. The two Argentine influencers were detained while attempting to enter the match between Colombia and Portugal for the 2026 World Cup at Hard Rock Stadium.
According to the report from the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, they managed to pass three security checks with credentials from a previous event. All while recording the maneuver for their social media. The plan backfired, and they ended up being charged with interfering in a sporting event, a crime that U.S. authorities take very seriously.
A judge set a bail of $2,500 for each of them. Therefore, they spent some time at the Turner Guilford Knight correctional center until their situation was resolved. In the end, they met the conditions and regained their freedom, but the episode had already made headlines around the world.
Pergolini's Unfiltered Reaction
On his show Otro Día Perdido, Mario Pergolini showed no mercy. After commenting on a political news story, he adapted an ironic remark from Vice President Victoria Villarruel and applied it directly to the YouTubers in a segment called “Fábrica de boludos.”
“Arrested in Miami for falsifying tickets and credentials for World Cup matches, guys…,” Mario stated. And he added: “Trying to get past U.S. security with a fake ticket just doesn’t work. It’s a sign of the madness bouncing around in their brains.”
