Martín Demichelis gave a piece of advice to Diablito Echeverri at Manchester City
The coach who gave Diablito his debut at River recommended something outside of soccer that will help him adapt to English soccer
Claudio Echeverri continues training at City, hoping to start getting playing time for the remainder of the season. With more doubts than certainties, it is unclear whether he will remain at the club next season or go out on loan to start gaining experience in European football. In that scenario, Girona in Spain and Lazio in Italy emerge as possible destinations.
Recently, the former River player caused a stir on Argentine social media after appearing in a photo shared by City's official account alongside first-team figures. In the image, he is seen accompanied by Jack Grealish, Rúben Dias, Josko Gvardiol, Rico Lewis, Omar Marmoush, Mateo Kovacic, Oscar Bobb, and Maksim Khuasanov.

He also participated in a special segment for the club's YouTube channel titled "Preparing Mate with Claudio Echeverri". In the video, he received a greeting from Pablo Zabaleta, a historic City player, and also advice from Martín Demichelis, the coach who made him debut in River's first team and who also wore the sky-blue jersey.
"I'm not going to tell you to dribble in England like you did at River or in your city with your friends, I just advise you to spend your free time learning the language, because it will be very useful to you," was the message from Demichelis, current coach of Rayados de Monterrey.
After hearing his words, El Diablito did not hide his gratitude and recalled Demichelis's importance in his early steps as a professional: "Martín was the coach who made me debut. I'm very grateful for having done it at such a big club like River. I send him a huge hug".

Zabaleta's warm welcome
Pablo Zabaleta also joined in the welcome, highlighting the bond between Argentine players and the English club. "I'm very happy that you continue strengthening the relationship between City and our country. Many of us Argentines have passed through here in recent years," he commented.

"The fans value our way of adapting, playing, and above all, our commitment. I lived unforgettable moments, like that goal by Kun in the 93:20 minute that gave us the Premier in 2012. Enjoy Manchester, even its rain. I hope to visit the club soon to greet you," added the former citizen.
A special chat with Kun
Regarding the historic goal mentioned by Zabaleta, Echeverri revealed that he also had the opportunity to talk with Sergio Agüero when his move to City was confirmed. "He's a club idol and told me it's an unbelievable place, full of good people and with everything necessary for one to become the best," he said.
