Maru Botana brought back to light what happened with Sergio Lapegüe when they worked together 15 years ago. During an interview with Rulo Schijman for Desencriptados (Infobae), she recalled her experience on Sábado en casa, the show they shared on América TV.
In the conversation, the chef also mentioned her confrontation with Yanina Latorre, Jimena Monteverde, and Coco Carreño. However, about Lapegüe, she said she didn't understand the reason for his anger.
"I don't know what happened to him: I got along great on the show, he would take the pastries home... His wife and daughter, lovely. I never had problems, zero: I don't know why he came out to attack me", Botana expressed.

After the chef's statements, Lapegüe was consulted on LAM (América TV) and his response was blunt. "15 years have passed, I'd rather not talk about it. I have nothing against her, I got along well, but there wasn't good chemistry in the whole group", he assured.
He also recalled that the show's production prohibited him from entering the kitchen, which affected his participation. "It was strange for the host to be outside for 40 minutes", he pointed out.
