Marvel spends millions after a major fight on the set of 'Avengers: Doomsday'
Marvel reschedules scenes and spends millions following a conflict between two Avengers: Doomsday actors
The filming of Avengers: Doomsday is taking place in a complicated atmosphere after rumors of a heated argument between two major actors. According to journalist John Rocha on his podcast The Hot Mic, the studio had to intervene to prevent the fight from escalating.
The names have not been disclosed, but theories are already circulating in Hollywood about who the protagonists of the clash might be. What is certain is that Marvel reportedly rescheduled scenes and offered multimillion-dollar concessions to maintain peace on set.

What happened on the set of Avengers: Doomsday
According to Rocha, the fight originated from a joke that was poorly received. The argument reportedly escalated and forced the production to separate the actors on different shooting days.
Rocha stated that the studio made one of the actors understand that firing his colleague would cost "millions of dollars." In the end, both reportedly exchanged apologies, although the tension remained.
Robert Downey Jr. at the center of the rumors
Although the names have not been confirmed, several outlets such as The Hot Mic and Collider point to Robert Downey Jr. as one of the possible parties involved. His central role in the film leads the production company to seek to please him in every detail.

Journalist Jeff Sneider added that Marvel had to discard weeks of filmed material because Downey was not satisfied with the work of his stunt double in the Doctor Doom suit. Millions were reportedly invested in reshooting scenes with the actor himself.
Comparisons with other troubled productions
Sneider also compared the internal situation of Avengers: Doomsday with the ego clashes in the Fast & Furious saga. He recalled that, in that case, the rivalry between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson ended with "The Rock" leaving the franchise.

A massive cast under pressure
The film directed by the Russo brothers brings together more than two dozen stars. Among them are Mark Ruffalo, Charlize Theron, Brie Larson, and Samuel L. Jackson. The size of the cast and the expectations of fans increase the pressure on the studio.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for release in the U.S. on December 18, 2026. Meanwhile, Marvel is working to put out fires and ensure that production arrives on time without further setbacks.
