Matías Bertolotti warned about storms in the AMBA with an active yellow alert, and improvements are not expected until Sunday

Meteorologist Matías Bertolotti anticipated a complicated Friday in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA), with storms that have already triggered the yellow alert from the National Meteorological Service.

Bad weather is affecting not only Capital Federal but also much of the province of Buenos Aires and the center of the country. The weekend will show an improvement, but first there will be two very unstable days to get through.

Today's weather: storms starting in the morning

For this Friday, September 19, a high of 22 degrees (72°F) is expected, with storms starting in the late morning. There may be intense showers between 10 and 11, with partial improvements toward the afternoon and evening.

Bertolotti recommended going out with a raincoat and umbrella, since the rain could be locally heavy, although short-lived.

How the weather continues on Saturday

Saturday the 20th will be the most complicated day. With a low of 17 degrees (63°F) and a high of 20 degrees (68°F), storms could reach an intensity of 8 or 9 points on a scale of 1 to 10, especially during the afternoon.

Extended forecast: improvement for Sunday
