The conflict began after Benjamín Vicuña's statements on PH, Podemos Hablar (Telefe). The actor referred to the distance he currently maintains with Magnolia and Amancio, his children with China Suárez.
“Regarding my situation today, that my children can be 14 thousand kilometers away, I am very sure of the bond I have with them, no one can take that away from me,” Vicuña had expressed.
The kids are in Turkey, where they spend part of their days with Mauro Icardi and China Suárez.

The actor's words had a quick repercussion and Mauro Icardi decided to respond through an Instagram story.
“When you play the victim on TV to defend an image that the facts do not support, something doesn't add up,” wrote the footballer.

Icardi specifically questioned the concern expressed by Vicuña about the bond with his children.
“I, more than worrying that someone could ‘steal’ the bond with your children, which clearly is not the case, would worry about trying to see them and be with them. More than that, I would worry about whether they want to see you,” he stated.

“If your children live abroad, it would be logical to want to take advantage of every possible day with them. But of those almost 80 days, only about 15 or 20 days could be spent together. Then, in front of the cameras, the narrative is different,” he asserted.
Icardi maintained that there is a discrepancy between that figure and the actor's public statements.

The forward also questioned Vicuña's media exposure and targeted the programs that aired his statements.
“Doubtful, give a little camera time with my response. He must be needing it, since here in Argentina the trashy programs are so generous...” he shot.

At the end of his statement, Icardi added another irony directed at the actor: “Are they copying the narrative for the part that concerns me? They are going the wrong way!”
